Nice to meet you!

Hello, I’m Kate, and my whole career I’ve written for other people. From blogs and news articles, to formal speeches and every kind of presentation in between. Now it’s my turn. I’m writing as me. All about my weekends. The places I go, the interests I have, the people I meet, the things that make me smile. This is my own little online space; telling stories, sharing experiences, and living life.

I’m mum to teenagers Sophie and Lily and married to James. Most of the year we live in Lutterworth, Leicestershire (where?!), but we also did a crazy thing in lockdown and bought a very old, in-need-of-much-love townhouse in the Andalucian hills.

I love to go travelling, to explore, to gently wander, to sit and watch the world go by. I like books, the theatre, nice food and drink, music, festivals, any kind of creative, immersive, memory-making experiences really. I’m glass half full; I like to see the good in the world and I want to go see it all. I love nothing more than staring at a map wondering where and what I might do next.
